Sock Collection!
Waldwick Chamber of Commerce members, Karen Centauro and Brian MacKay, helped organize a sock collection for local charities. The sock collection was in collaboration with the Paramus Chamber of Commerce, who was attempting to break the Guinness World Records of 40,000 socks collected in one day! Our donation was close to 1,000 pairs of socks to help them! A big shout out to Nanuet's Allstate Agent, Peter Singla and his whole sale friend, who helped make Waldwick's sock collection numbers possible!

Pepy and Art have just completed construction of the SERVPRO of Southern and Eastern Rockland County Booth at the Suburban Home Show. Join them this weekend at the show. SERVPRO of Northwest Bergen Service Scholarship
Charlie Vingoe of SERVPRO of Northwest Bergen County was proud to present Connor Conyngham of Waldwick High School the third annual SERVPRO of Northwest Bergen Service Scholarship award. The scholarship is awarded to a Waldwick High School Graduate that has both demonstrated and written about their community service. Borough of Waldwick Certificate of Recognition
The Waldwick Ambulance Corp. recently renovated their community room and the Mayor of Waldwick awarded Charlie Vingoe and SERVPRO Northwest Bergen a certificate of recognition for his commitment and contributions to the community. We donated post-construction cleaning supplies and two hardworking SERVPRO Northwest Bergen employees to help them clean the new room. We are always Here To Help especially in our local community.
10th Anniversary Sean Fisher Memorial Event
The 10th Anniversary Sean Fisher Memorial Event was held Sunday, August 19 - 5 pm to 7 pm at the Waldwick High School Turf field.
The event was held to Celebrate Sean's Life and Supporting the Sean Fisher Foundation.
Sean passed away on August 13, 2008 (his 13th birthday) during football practice on the WHS turf of an undetected heart defect. His parents, Sheila and Jim, created the Sean Fisher Memorial Foundation to provided funding for heart screenings for students to hopefully prevent this tragedy from ever happening again. This event is to raise funds and awareness, as well as to honor Sean's life. The friends of Sean's put together an Air band contest. What is an Air band? It's a fun way to play air guitar, air drum, air sing, air anything and jam to great music! NO TALENT NECESSARY!! It was a fun and beautiful way to show support of the Fisher family and honor Sean's memory.

Charity Event for Center For Hope and Safety
The Waldwick Chamber of Commerce hosted a charity event to raise funds for The Center for Hope and Safety. SERVPRO Waldwick High School Scholarship
Congratulations to Conor Gallagher a 2017 Waldwick High School Graduate. He won our 3rd Annual SERVPRO Northwest Bergen Service Scholarship for 2017. Conor wrote a great essay about his contributions to the community. It is always so rewarding to see young adults involved in community service, and succeeding academically in school. Conor will have a bright future no matter what school or career choices he makes.
Books Under Construction
Painted construction hats, based on children's books, will be placed at local businesses. Find the hats and win a free book! The hunt begins June 24 and runs through August 18.

Toys For Tots

Shark Tank 2016
Karen had a great time at the 2nd annual Shark Tank 2016! Thanks to the amazing students at Waldwick High School for their participation, it was a great success! Karen was there to judge and invest in some of the great ideas and businesses.

Community Associations Institute Trade Show
Art met the CAI-NJ Chapter Executive Director Larry Thomas, while attending the League of Municipalities. The forum took place November 15th to the 17th at the Atlantic City Convention Center. (CAI stands for Community Associations Institute)

Waldwick Fire Prevention Week
SERVPRO was in the house – this time it was the Waldwick Firehouse for Fire Prevention & Safety!!
SERVPRO sponsored the refreshments and handed out candy and toys while the kids and their families checked out the fire trucks and learned all about fire safety!

2016 Wildcats Golf Outing
SERVPRO golfed on Monday July 11, at River Vale Counrty Club to support the 20th Annual Amster's Prospect Tavern of Waldwick to raise funds for The Bergen County Wildcats. It was a perfect weather day to golf and the Beefsteak Dinner and Trick Tray at theBrownstone in Paterson was terrific! A BIG Thanks to Norm Levine of Amster's, The Wildcats Team, the volunteers, and all the supporters for a wonderful day. The Bergen Wildcats program supports special needs athletes. The Wildcats compete with otherteams and in the Special Olympics. Participation in the Wildcats program has helped its members have greater self esteem, more independence and helps team members have a true sense of belonging. The team is supported by trained volunteers and dedicated parents. This golf outing is one of the ways Bergen County Wildcats raise funds to support the team.
Ramapo Wholesalers BBQ
Donna and Art of SERVPRO hosted a BBQ at Ramapo Wholesalers. It was a beautiful day, Art and Donna met many great people and were able share the services SERVPRO can provide to plumbers when a water or mold clean up job is needed. Thanks Ramapo Wholesalers for letting us host the BBQ.

The daffodils have started to sprout and should be in full bloom within the next week with the recent warm weather!
Please visit the garden located in Waldwick's Boro Park (98 Pine St.). The garden is at the top of the bike path. You can park in the first lot as you enter from Pennington Ave. and the garden is on the left, with the Gazebo on the right. There are approximately 1,300 bulbs in the garden and should be a amazing and beautiful sight!!!

Shark Tank
Our very own Karen Centauro participated as a Shark, at Waldwick High School's Shark Tank Season 1. She really enjoyed listening to the students idea's and products. She said several of the students have very marketable products and hope they consider pursuing them! She invested in four companies and can't wait to participate in Season 2! The students should be very proud of themselves for both their ideas and presentations.

Warm Hands, Warm Hearts
